I Finally Got My Hands on These — And I’m Loving the Results
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been working on something that brings the magic back into shooting.
I’ve always loved the film look—that soft, imperfect glow you only get from analog photography. But I never loved the hassle that came with it. So we started experimenting with something new: taking real lenses from old analog cameras, building a custom 3D mount, and turning them into a lightweight lens you can snap straight onto your digital mirrorless.
And now, it’s here.
I just got my hands on the first batch of our Mood Glass, Pocket Dispo Lens—and honestly? It’s way more fun than I expected.
I Took It Out for a Spin…
I’ve been walking around the city with one mounted on my Sony A7CR, and it’s brought a totally new energy to my photography.
No autofocus. No settings to fuss with. Just point, shoot, and let the lens do its thing.
Every photo comes out with this dreamy, vintage film aesthetic—no editing needed. It reminds me why I fell in love with photography in the first place.
I’ve even tested it for video, and the results blew me away. It feels like a tiny digital camcorder with an analog soul.
So Here’s the Deal
I’m not keeping this to myself.
This project was too good not to share—so if you’re a photographer or filmmaker who wants something that feels raw, nostalgic, and different…
I’ve got a few available.
This is Mood Glass:
- Built using optics from real analog disposable cameras
- Custom 3D mount — available for Sony E-Mount and Fuji X-Mount
- Gives you that vintage lens camera look — soft, imperfect, beautiful
- No editing needed — film vibes straight out of camera
- Works for photos and video
I’m personally using it on a Sony A7CR, but the results are great across any mirrorless system.
Perfect If You’re…
- Tired of over-polished digital perfection
- Curious about the digital vs analog photography feel
- Looking for something fun, fast, and freeing
- In a creative rut and just want to go shoot again
- Interested in collecting used camera lenses with a twist
Real Photos, Real Footage
Everything you see here was shot using the Mood Glass Lens.
No Lightroom presets. No tricks. Just light contrast added, and that’s it.
